(An exploration of French pastry traditions and British tea culture, framed by historical context and a short literary discussion connected to A Tale of Two Cities and the French Revolution.  Don’t worry! You will not have to read a “Tale of Two Cities", but you should do so at some point in your high school career!   This seminar will discuss French pastry, British pastry and various British teas, and will culminate in visits to a French restaurant and a British restaurant over two days. Yes, you will be burdened by Mr. Duffy's synopsis of the French Revolution and a brief discussion of Dickens, but Mrs. Jones will reel him in should he keep you too long from your just desserts)
